Description
This is a drawing by my great great etc. grandpa. And what I am enamoured by is how you get the sense that this is the same place. It's the Liverpool dock where my forefathers left from, and there's the today dock in behind. If one gets this, despite a car in the background mid left, be overwhelmed by the little parallels.
Four adults and two children left a house where over 30 were living, and by the time family arrived in Canada, my great great grandma was pregnant. She was pregnant on the travel across the prairies, which included train, and wagon. So, tell me, who can imagine all that.
The bottom left of this art carries my artist branding along with my great great's.
Before I went, I found the local language in resources online. And I gave a shot at trying to figure out what I would hear. I was not ready. There were a lot of bus drivers who, when I heard them, I had not a clue what they were saying. However, it sounded like what I expected. And yes, there were some who could also speak Canadianish speech. We should name our dialect.
