Product Details

Our luxuriously soft beach towels are made from brushed microfiber with a 100% cotton back for extra absorption.   The top of the towel has the image printed on it, and the back is white cotton.   Our beach towels are available in two different sizes: beach towel (32" x 64") and beach sheet (37" x 74").

Don't let the fancy name confuse you... a beach sheet is just a large beach towel.

Artist's Description

Elna Brodie grew up in Nesbitt, on a market garden near Brandon, and then in Brandon. She drew for entertainment. Many of her drawings are of movie stars and of the old west. I have taken her sketches, restored, enhanced, and prepared them for printing. Elna is my grandmother. I have reverted this image to a close to classic drawing. This may appeal to family more than the co-created version I outlined. Once I had a plan for the sky, I redid as close to the original as I have. I had just started outlining. I had not begun painting. I do notice the colors were pretty dark here. I had at one point been mimicking pencil crayon. Then, I notice later versions were much lighter. Probably a setting I touched did this. So, close to original means the plains have a series of pencil crayon colors in them. The clothes are a bit abstract. The grass is not set off.

About Donna L Munro

Donna L Munro

Donna L. Munro is the owner of PWL. She is a lover of family heritage and value, having focused her life strengths on studying Literature and Science for her younger life. She has found her roots and family meaning within Scottish and English culture. The start of the collection is focused on releasing family art to print. The first artist Donna has profiled is her great-great-grandfather James Wharton, who was one of the first of the family pioneers to settle in Manitoba just as its communities opened up for settlement. Unfortunately, James Wharton spent most of his time working to get a nicer home for his wife, and did not have time to return to art when he came to the prairies. Donna painted the James Wharton drawings based on...
