Okay, so this application was to bring out detail. I will talk about a couple things about this image. The drawing was done in a blue pencil. That is what people used in 1976 for art. The funny thing is maybe that is a resource from school. James was in an art class. Or so I deduct. Not all his images have the blue pencil. There is a mild blue tint to the drawing here, and I did what I could to pull it out, because I like it. The other thing - there was shading and watercolor in brown on this image. Hopefully, when you look in the door of the second building on the right, below the two people climbing stairs, you can see the guy drinking his cup of Joe.

The first artist Donna has profiled is her great-great-grandfather James Wharton, who was one of the first of the family pioneers to settle in Manitoba just as its communities opened up for settlement.
