Description
This image, though the crucifixion, represents the glory shadow of Christ's death, and his royalty - through the exquisite herbs on the hill, and his golden crown of suffering which reveal him as the Lamb of God. This carries in it as well the King Solomon marker of gold on the ground, for where Christ is, abundance will build.
My viewer may notice the absence of chest hair. I could add it. However, would I notice any chest hair in my grief over Jesus being ripped up. I would not. In a future rendition of this painting, I may add the chest hair. For right now, I am leaving it off, to remark the stripes and leave them as the highlight.
