Description
This is part of the France Tour 2005 collection. My uncles came up these beaches in the war. I recall soldiers coming up the approximate 30 metres that hundreds of Canadian men died per metre gain. I may be off on my data, but what I know is that the fact my uncles survived to come home leaves me with amazement. I can send an email to Juno Beach verifiy this fact. This is what I recall from my tour. These bunkers were made of cement. Hitler turned the whole population of France into slave labor to build these cement bunkers which occupy the coast of France.
Here's where my ancestors and family blood is laid down. I name this a path. To get 40 feet, hundreds, thousands died. And some took in 40 pellets of shot. So. This is also a symbol of mistreatment of people. Slaves built these. They had no choice.
