Artist's Description
This is a cherry acclimatized to Calgary. I just ate a bowl of these cherries. I've been saving my fruit servings daily for these cherries. I've determined I can eat about 25 cherries for 50 calories. Over the about 2 weeks they have hung beautifully on the tree branches, they have ripened and become just a bit less sour and much more juicy. I would suggest these are a great low calorie treat. Only 9 sweet cherries are a fruit serving. So, these are visibly more satisfying. One tree puts out 40 pounds of fruit. The tree is self-pollinating. This means that I did not have to partner a second tree to it. It still needs pollinators to come though. It is another of those reasons that I encourage bees to be around. I have a taste for these cherries. It is for those who like sour.
