Artist's Description

Elna Brodie Niccolls loved Elizabeth Taylor. In the Senior's Home, the channels of the televisions are permanently placed on the old movie channels. When you go there, you step back into time to see the classics as if it were all that is to see. Elna did not mind this as she knew many of the movies, and certainly as her sight dimmed, she would use her memory to go along with movies she had seen many times over. She could imagine the pictures that went along with the soundtracks. That aside, she did love Elizabeth Taylor. Elizabeth Taylor died March 23, only 6 days after Elna. I recall seeing the paper and thinking one of Grandma's era had also passed. I felt sad. For touch-ups in this art, the fibers in the paper tend to have dark fibers here and there. I've removed them. Small amounts of staining from paper degradation has been cleaned up.

Donna L Munro

Donna L. Munro is the owner of PWL. She is a lover of family heritage and value, having focused her life strengths on studying Literature and Science for her younger life. Unfortunately, James Wharton spent most of his time working to get a nicer home for his wife, and did not have time to return to art when he came to the prairies. Donna painted the James Wharton drawings based on...
