This red bird is situated in a spot where there's a visual confusion going on. I am not sure what to call this. Is there a branch directly behind him, or is this bird eating a bud, not distiguished for those beside him? I looked up close. It looks like this bird is eating my buds. Or based on the analysis of environment, this bird is eating seed out of his birdseed container not far away. Mine or his or ours. When you have a flock, do you distinguish the caregiver from the flock? Or does the caregiver get to belong to the flock? I took this bird's picture, because I love him. I hope he makes a family here. For now, this is in the group red finch. However, I have red sparrows. For this image, there's pretty good definition around the eye. I like that by the way. I am looking to improve that spot in my images.
