Description
This is a photo of Lucius. Can you believe anyone would think him ugly? Sitting in pots like these on the deck or porch gets a cat out of the wind. They tuck inside and stay warm. The dirt is warm. As we approached winter, Lulu 1) goes to the carpet or 2) tries to fit into his pot. He does not fit it as well today. It is cute seeing him try to fit into it. I need to buy him or bring him a bigger one. It seems to be a cat requirement. The one on my front porch is used by another local cat in winter. I will be pulling them up soon. I may even hunt around the yard for plant bedding to put into it. Over the winter, the visitor cats lays fur bedding in with the plant bedding material to make it warmer. Pots are apparently great based on cat behaviour I've seen. When I was young, I recall seeing at my cousin's house a very portly cat who sat in a plant pot. Ever since, I have considered that image comical and left the possibility in play for cats. It is nice to see the concept in use.
