Description
Here is a set of community. I do colors in behind to set off my work.
I see a chicken coop. A guy came back from fishing. There's a big table for eating. That is an 8 leg table. And there's a man walking his cow. After sleeping on this, I think this is one of those styles of condos or homes where the yard shifts forward, with each unit. One man is carrying a plant to his neighbour. The thing under the tape is a tree. It's a cute little tree.
On other paintings, or rather drawings, there is good paper. I clipped bits, as you see, because the paper was gorched. At the same time, that paper is a starter material to do things with. It is handy to have the grain. To keep the grain of paper in those spots, I need to paper hunt, or I will fill those spots in with paint. I start on bright colors these days, to not work my eyes. I use bright yellow. And in a cleanup I am doing, under those I use blue. That is helping find little dots. The style of grass here has been done with rolling circles. That's pretty cool.
I really respect my great-great-grandfather. That other piece I just did--it was mathematically pretty perfect. And he did that with hand tools, not a computer. When I set the mirror image up, I had to extend the canvas by a centimetre or two. His lines were straight. That child is kind of amazing. And I am his progeny. I am not sad.
Jame's work in drawing, at least part of it, looks like a drawing/art class he had at Sefton School. This is one of his earlier images. And you need to remember, here, he's at most age 12.
That lone thing in the front is an ox cart wheel. Was it ox or horse? I don't know. There's lots of those in the art.
